High efficiency pumps play a central role in agricultural drainage treatment

Built on the banks of the New Suez Canal in Egypt’s Sinai region, the USD 100 million Al Mahsama water treatment facility is the largest of its kind in the world. The plant, which was officially inaugurated by the country’s president Abdel Fattah El Sisi in April 2020, will produce enough clean water to irrigate 70,000 acres (283 square kilometres) of agricultural land.

China"s largest engine manufacturer opts for NC joining systems from Kistler

Yuchai, the machinery group based in southern China, has opted for the NCFN and NCFT electromechanical joining systems from Kistler to manufacture components for engines that comply with the China VI standard, based on the Euro VI standard. Thanks in part to custom-designed press-fit solutions, Yuchai achieves high product quality, energy efficiency and process transparency.

Weg products achieve UKCA certification

Weg is updating the marks on its products following regulatory changes introduced due to Brexit. From January 1, 2023, products commercialised in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) will require mandatory UK conformity assessed (UKCA) markings to indicate that the products adhere to UK standards for safety and ecodesign whilst products commercialised in Northern Ireland will continue to retain CE Marking.

Sandvik Coromant launches CoroPlus Productivity Improvement Program

To fulfil growing demand for industrial productivity, Sandvik Coromant has launched CoroPlus PIP (Productivity Improvement Program), a service to help its customers identify pain points in production. Combined with a consultancy service delivered by Sandvik Coromant specialists, the program uses data to deliver fact-based suggestions for improvements to a production cell or machine. CoroPlus PIP is currently available in the United Kingdom and the Nordic countries.
