This makes it possible to implement servo applications that require highly precise synchronisation and accurate positioning in limited space. 3-phase power supply delivers 3200W at 48V

TDK Corporation has added a 3,200W, 48V at 66.7A rated model to its TPS3000 series of industrial power supplies. Capable of operating from a 350-528V AC three phase input in a Delta or Wye configuration, the TPS3000-48 avoids the need for step down transformers that traditional 208/230V AC input power supplies require. In addition, phase current balancing is simplified.

AMP has launched EtherCAT communications versions of its innovative StepSERVO closed loop stepper technology products. Available with full support from Mclennan, AMP’s European distribution partner, the range covers three EtherCAT network intelligent drives with continuous output current of 3, 5 and 10 Amps together with 14 matched StepSERVO stepper motors from NEMA size 11 to 34.

World"s smallest multi-axis servo drive saves energy

Stober has launched the new modular SI6 drive system, which, with a single centralised power supply, is claimed to be the smallest multi-axis servo drive available. The SI6 is a modular and scalable rack system for machine builders with multiple axes that will save costs in in hardware, energy use and installation. The double axis module, which provides 2 x 5 amps, is just 45mm wide yet delivers a position, speed and current cycle time of only 62.5 µs.
