WEG wins Supplier of the Year at Pump Industry Awards
WEG has been named Supplier of the Year at the 2025 Pump Industry Awards. Organised by the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), the awards ceremony took place on 13 March 2025 at the Hilton Hotel, St. George's Park, Burton upon Trent, UK.

This award recognises WEG UK's commitment to technical innovation, energy efficiency and sustainability in the pump industry. The Supplier of the Year award is given to companies that demonstrate outstanding performance in these areas and actively contribute to the sector's advancement.
"Winning Supplier of the Year is a fantastic achievement," said Marek Lukaszczyk, UK and Middle East marketing manager. "At WEG, we collaborate closely with our partners to develop innovative solutions that improve efficiency and sustainability in pumping systems worldwide. Our technology not only enhances industrial processes but plays a crucial role in driving energy savings and performance improvements."
WEG provides technology for a range of water and wastewater applications, including desalination, water distribution, wastewater treatment and process water management. Its product portfolio includes high-efficiency motors, soft starters, variable speed drives (VSDs) and intelligent solutions like Pump Genius.
Pump Genius is WEG's smart control solution for optimising pump performance. Embedded in WEG's VSDs, it manages up to six pumps, automatically adjusting speed to maintain optimal flow and pressure. This reduces energy consumption and enhances reliability, making it ideal for applications in water treatment, irrigation and industrial processes.

Recognition from the BPMA reinforces these efforts," continued Lukaszczyk.
This award follows WEG's recent achievement of the Gold Seal in the EcoVadis assessment for the second consecutive year. WEG placed among the top two per cent of companies globally evaluated for sustainability. The EcoVadis rating highlights WEG's dedication to environmental responsibility, ethical business practices, human rights and sustainable supply chain management.
WEG's success in the UK's water sector is backed by the organisation's global operations, including the recently inaugurated manufacturing facility in Santo Tirso, Portugal. Opened in October 2024, this state-of-the-art industrial park spans over 100,000 square metres, with 45,000 square metres of covered production space dedicated to motors and drives.
In addition to its new European manufacturing site, WEG operates a major distribution centre in Germany. These strategic facility investments strengthen WEG UK's ability to support the pump industry, ensuring the timely delivery of a wide range of industrial products.
