Wanner has announced the opening of a regional sales and service centre of excellence in Mumbai and Pune, with satellite engineering hubs in New Delhi, Bangalore and Gujarat.
For 30 years Wanner pumps were supported in India through their distributor Machinomatic Engineers, a strategic partnership that delivered significant economic and operating results for process engineering, including savings of 21,000 tonnes of polymer and more than $250,000 in maintenance costs for a major oil and gas operator in India, and an award for improved reliability at Cairn Oil & Gas.
Wanner India combines the leadership and deep experience of the Machinomatic Engineers and will provide sales, pump skid design and build, installation, maintenance, spare parts and field service for Wanner pumps and engineered systems across India's oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The centre will strengthen Wanner's technical support in India with local application engineering, faster field response, preventative maintenance programmes and local pump and parts inventory to help customers reduce downtime and operating costs.
Karan Mansukhani, Managing Director of Wanner India, said: "We have supported India's oil and gas, chemical, machine tool, water treatment and general industry and pharmaceutical sectors for three decades and this new, dedicated centre and satellite engineering hubs will deepen our local engineering capability and accelerate response times so customers in all process engineering industries can operate more reliably and cost effectively, also meeting the minimum local content criteria for all National Oil Co. procurement."
Paul Davis, Managing Director of Wanner International (EMEA, India, CIS, Australia) said: "Our exports to India have grown consistently due to the value we create for our customers, helping them lower their total cost of ownership in their pumping processes. Establishing a dedicated centre of excellence in India demonstrates our commitment to the market and strengthens our ability to serve major oil and gas, chemicals and pharmaceutical projects locally."
