Ultra compact servo motor delivers increased flexibility
Parker Hannifin has introduced a 40mm size to its highly-dynamic and compact SMH/SMB Series brushless servo motor range. The 40mm variant not only extends the torque capability in its smallest size starting from 0.19Nm, but also offers a high degree of flexibility to food processing, packaging, robot and handling machinery OEMs due to an extensive range of motor frame configurations and options.
In response to market trends the motor’s dimensions have been considerably reduced offering significant advantages in terms of specific torque and dynamic performance. When compared to traditional-technology brushless servo motors the specific torque is approximately 30% higher and rotor inertias are extremely low. This makes it especially suited to highly dynamic applications.
