With new solutions in the PROTUM Office modular system, TSUBAKI KABELSCHLEPP is expanding its portfolio for cable management on height-adjustable work desks. The focus is on a consistent approach that optimally combines functionality and design.

For office furniture manufacturers, this opens up new opportunities for everyone from developers to end users.
When it comes to manufacturing office furniture, cable management influences design, assembly processes and the possible variants for entire product lines. And this is precisely where the current additions to the PROTUM Office modular system from TSUBAKI KABELSCHLEPP come in to support office furniture manufacturers.
At the heart of the system is a set consisting of cable duct and cable carrier with the following design: A visually fully closed cable carrier is used in the rigid area of the table drive. It protects the cables while blending in with the overall design of the table frame. For the moving part of the cable carrier, the PROTUM Office P0400GS01 provides controlled guiding of the cables across the entire adjustment range.
This provides a consistent solution from the table frame to the table top. Instead of having to combine individual components or define interfaces, manufacturers now have access to a system that is technically coherent and is visually perceived as a single unit.
Additional 25 and 38 mm widths
Additional 25 and 38 mm cable carrier widths are also new in the modular system. TSUBAKI KABELSCHLEPP is reacting to changed requirements such as smaller cable volumes due to the use of e.g. USB-C or increasing complexity, for example in control centre applications. This is where the new module combination - with two adjacent 38-mm wide chambers - enables a clear separation of data cables and power cables.
The integration of power strips directly into the system is another building block in the PROTUM Office concept. In addition to individual solutions, products from BACHMANN and from the Schulte EVOline can now also be integrated. The adapters, on request with magnetic attachment, ensure easy installation and handling within the cable guiding or for independent positioning.
Complete solution as a turnkey set
For office furniture manufacturers, the advantage lies primarily in the simplification. TSUBAKI KABELSCHLEPP supplies its PROTUM Office solutions as pre-assembled sets that are ready for installation. This reduces the work steps required in series production and reduces the failure rate. At the same time, it offers flexibility for adjustments, for example to cable lengths, connection configurations or fastening types.
The cable carrier system also offers structural advantages. It is compatible with flat and round table frame elements and is suitable for different materials such as wood, aluminium or steel, making it possible to implement a consistent solution across different product lines. Any variants can be developed directly from the modular system. The design is another aspect: The continuous contour of the cable carrier, the coordinated colours, the silent movements and the small gap sizes ensure that the cable management perfectly blends in with the furniture.
And last but not least, logistics also play a role. TSUBAKI KABELSCHLEPP offers the sets for installation in production at the factory as well as individually packaged as accessories for manufacturers.
"We wanted our system to make things easier for customers," explains Werner Eul, Head of Industry & Product Management at TSUBAKI KABELSCHLEPP. "So we adapted it precisely to their requirements and created a comprehensive solution. When technology, design and assembly are developed together, true added value is created, and that is exactly what we were striving for."
