Tapeswitch launches new website

Established in 1956, Tapeswitch specialises in the design and manufacture of pressure-sensitive safety technologies used in industrial, transport and automation environments. Its product portfolio includes ribbon switches, sensing edges, safety bumpers, safety mats and bespoke systems, all manufactured in the UK and distributed globally.

The new website design and build represents a significant stylistic overhaul of the company's previous website.

Using a mixture of bespoke retro poster art-inspired illustrations and animations and interactive isometric-style visuals, the new site has been developed to present Tapeswitch's product range, technical information and sector applications in a clearer and more accessible format for customers, specifiers, integrators and original equipment manufacturers.

Matt Ferres, co-founder and director at Zeppo Creative, said: Tapeswitch has a highly technical offer, so the challenge was to create a website that felt simple, structured and useful without losing the detail customers need. We wanted the design to support the company's product knowledge and make the journey through the site more intuitive.

Our dedicated illustration team developed a suite of bold interactive illustrations and animations to bring Tapeswitch's product applications to life with a distinctive visual style that can easily be added to and developed in the future if need be, while maintaining the same striking and identifiable design.

Tapeswitch UK business development manager Blake Shields said: The new website gives us a clearer way to explain what we do, how our technology works and where our products can be used.

Tapeswitch has a broad range of pressure-sensitive systems, so it was important that the site made that information easier to find and understand, with sector-specific focus that reflects individual customers' needs in a highly accessible way.

We're very pleased to unveil the new website for our customers and the new visual style has also been rolled out across Tapeswitch UK's marketing materials and product literature.
