Sustainable hydraulic oils in forestry

Friedrich Umwelt consistently pursues sustainable concepts in gardening and landscaping as well as in forestry services. The aim is to combine ecological responsibility with operational efficiency. The collaboration with Zeller+Gmelin plays an important role, with the company's lubricants having become indispensable in many areas of the business.

Sustainable hydraulic oils in forestry

For over a decade, Friedrich Umwelt has stood for sustainability, reliability and innovative solutions in the environmental sector. The company, founded in 2010 by Johannes Friedrich, has developed from a forestry service provider into a versatile service provider in gardening and landscaping, earthworks and civil engineering, as well as demolition and recycling - always with a clear focus on environmental protection and resource conservation.

"For us, sustainability is not just a goal, but a basic attitude," explains Managing Director Johannes Friedrich.

Friedrich places particular emphasis on the recycling of materials. For example, construction waste is shredded on site and reused as secondary raw materials. This concept, which combines sustainability with cost-effectiveness, is also reflected in the choice of lubricants used in the company's machines.

In close cooperation with Zeller+Gmelin, Friedrich Umwelt relies on the company's diverse product range - including lubricants, greases, engine and hydraulic oils as well as cleaners and sprays. These products form the basis for efficient machine maintenance and care. In combination with a qualified team of currently 25 employees and a modern fleet, the company meets the requirements of its customers flexibly and reliably.

High-performance lubricant for ecologically sensitive applications

The company relies on high-performance machines and commercial vehicles such as harvesters, forwarders, excavators and trucks, which are used primarily in ecologically sensitive areas. These operating conditions require not only robust technology, but also lubricants that meet the special requirements.

Divinol SynthoHyd Eco 46 from Zeller+Gmelin plays a key role here. The biodegradable hydraulic oil meets all requirements for use in nature reserves and other environmentally critical areas. It also impresses with its exceptional temperature stability and long service life. "With this oil, we not only reduce the maintenance intervals and operating costs for our fleet, but also significantly reduce our ecological footprint," emphasises Managing Director Friedrich.

Focus on cost-effectiveness and efficiency

In addition to its environmental compatibility, Divinol SynthoHyd Eco 46 impresses with its high cost-effectiveness and versatility. "Thanks to the extended change intervals and reliability in extreme temperature ranges, the performance of our machines always remains at a high level," explains Johannes Friedrich.

The biohydraulic oil is characterised by remarkable stability in a wide temperature range from -25degC to 110degC and protects the machines against wear and corrosion. These properties not only contribute to a longer service life of the machines, but also increase operational reliability.

Another advantage is that Divinol SynthoHyd Eco 46 is compatible with both mineral oil and ester-based hydraulic oils. This makes it easier to switch to sustainable lubricants and simplifies storage.

By using polyalphaolefins instead of esters in its chemical composition, the oil also has a higher compatibility with seals and hoses, which minimises the risk of system failures or costly repairs. "The polyalphaolefin base instead of esters results in significantly higher compatibility and it is more versatile," says Markus Deil, the responsible dealer and long-standing sales partner of Zeller+Gmelin.

Research and quality assurance as a success factor

Quality assurance at Zeller+Gmelin goes far beyond product sales. Regular oil monitoring in the company's own laboratories makes it possible to check the lubricant quality and identify potential problems at an early stage.

"Through these analyses, we can optimise the service life of our machines and avoid unplanned downtime," emphasises Johannes Friedrich.

This close cooperation between lubricant manufacturers and users promotes mutual trust: "Zeller+Gmelin is a reliable partner for us who understands our requirements and supports us with high-quality products and comprehensive service. At the same time, they are always interested in learning from our experiences and practical applications," says Johannes Friedrich, summarising the long-term cooperation.

Sustainability and innovation in harmony

Friedrich Umwelt shows how sustainable operating materials and modern machine strategies can go hand in hand. By consciously opting for biodegradable products such as Divinol SynthoHyd Eco 46, the company is not only sending a clear signal for environmental protection, but is also reaffirming its role as a pioneer in the industry. By working with partners such as Zeller+Gmelin, the company remains agile and can proactively address new challenges in environmental technology.
