Stepper motors suitable to different load conditions

Stepper motors suitable to different load conditions

The need to combine the performance of a servo system with the ease of use of a stepper motor has seen the rise of the stepper hybrid close loop mode of motor control, as the experts at Ever Elettronica explain.

Hybrid Close Loop mode is a form of stepper motor control with feedback that adapts to different mechanical load conditions, without the need for calibration of position, speed, and torque gains that can be troublesome in some highly variable load applications.

The Hybrid Close Loop mode can thus be used as an alternative to the high-performance FULL Close Loop mode, in those applications where the calibration of gains may in fact be uncomfortable going to affect the efficiency of the system.

This Hybrid techonology is active on all Ever Elettronica Titanium family drives available with supply voltage from 12 V DC to 230 V AC and equipped with various control interfaces (ProfiNET, EtherCAT, Powerlink and more).

They are therefore the ideal solution for the types of automation applications and tools with a high variability in size such as CNC machine tools, engraving machines, automatic assembly equipment – and more.
