SPG brushless geared motors from Lenze Selection

Brushless motors are known for their efficiency and smooth operation. They eliminate the brushes and commutators found in traditional DC motors, relying instead on electronic controllers to regulate power. This design minimises friction and wear, leading to higher efficiency, reduced maintenance, and longer life.

Wide range and precise speed holding

SPG brushless motors are rated at 3,000 r/min. The speed control range is 30-3,000 r/min a 1:100 range, and speed holding accuracy is better than + 1%. Starting torque is a smooth 150% to avoid shocks.

Compact dimensions

Brushless technology has reduced motor size and weight. Compared to general purpose induction motors, the gains are considerable.

High energy efficiency

The brushless motors have a permanent magnet on the rotor which reduces secondary losses. Compared to conventional motors, power losses are reduced by 20% leading to significant savings on multi-axis machines.

Maintenance-free and adaptable

There are no brushes and so motors/geared motors are maintenance-free. Motor protection is IP65 and permissible ambient temperatures are -5 to +40degC. Supply voltage options are single phase at 100-120 V AC, single phase 200-230V AC or three phase 200-230 V AC. All SPG brushless motors and drives meet CE, UL and CCC.
