Single-axis drive module for high performance

Supply, power filter, braking resistor and DC link are also on board and all this within only 150 x 240 x 219 mm (size 2). The combined supply/axis module is operated at three phase 400-480 VAC and can handle up to 60 A peak current.

The standard includes many safety functions such as STO, SS1, SOS, SBC, as well as safe speed, acceleration, position and direction of rotation functions - all up to SIL 3, PL e, Cat. 4 and TUV certified.

Like all MDP modules in the MDD 2000 series, the single-axis drive can be used stand-alone or in combination with any number of MDD 2000 axis modules of both sizes. This makes designing a customised drive concept simple.

Flexible interfaces

The digital motor feedback interface Hiperface DSL is a standard feature, which saves wiring and time during the initial start-up. In addition to the single cable solution, various encoder types are supported: EnDat 2.1, Hiperface, Resolver, Sin/Cos, TTL, BiSS-C or Tamagawa.

The modules can be connected without tools using baying technology with DCB "DC Connection Block" and BCB "Bus Connection Block". This eliminates costly individual wiring for current, DC-Link coupling and real-time Ethernet communication with VARAN bus.

The engineering platform LASAL has an extensive library with pre-defined motion software components. This makes it easy to implement motion control tasks and significantly shortens the time for creating applications.
