Rolec adds new sizes to IP66 enclosures
Rolec has extended its elegant range of starCASE IP 66 electronic enclosures by adding two new sizes. Rolec starCASE is a versatile range of premium ABS enclosures that can be installed anywhere – on walls, machines and bulkheads. Applications include monitoring systems, HVAC controllers, safety equipment, security systems and test and measurement.
All starCASE enclosures can be installed ‘lid closed’ to protect the electronics and seal. The lid – which is recessed to accommodate a large membrane keypad – is held in place by two retaining straps. All the fixing screws are concealed and protected by two hinged cover trims, enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the enclosures.
The new sizes – 140 mm x 110 mm x 60 mm and 180 mm x 150 mm x 60 mm – increase the starCASE offer to seven types (from 120 mm x 90 mm x 50 mm to 280 mm x 170 mm x 60 mm.
Rolec starCASE is moulded from flame-retardant (UL 94 V-0) LURAN S KR2867 CWU, an ASA and PC blend. It is manufactured to the Russian GOST-R standard. Enclosures are available as standard in light grey (RAL 7035) but custom colours are available on request. Accessories include a key lock for the lid; a security kit for fitting lead tags; security pin and
rubber feet.
Rolec offers customising services include CNC milling and drilling, silk-screen and tampo printing of legends and logos, EMC shielding, assembly of cable glands and other components. Prices for starCASE start at £22.
