RFID controller for multiple frequencies
In many applications, such as on machine tools, RFID systems must be small, robust and adaptable. The new IDENT Control Compact interface unit from Pepperl+Fuchs satisfies all of these requirements and supports RFID readers with 125kHz, 250kHz, 13.56MHz, 868MHz and 2.45GHz frequencies. Two versions are available to support one or two readers, and the interface options include Ethernet, Profibus, RS232 and RS485.
The robust, metal IP67 housing has dimensions of just 137x62x41 mm. It offers extremely high stability against electromagnetic influence and can be mounted in any orientation to suit the application.
Commissioning and maintenance information is given in the form of two LEDs for the read/write heads and two LEDs for bus communication and diagnosis. Further commissioning and testing is performed with the free PC software 'RFID-Control'. Connection to the unit utilises the industry standard M12 connector plugs for the bus, power and read/write heads.
