Precision gears for every requirement
From 24 to 27 June 2025 Nabtesco will be among the exhibitors at automatica in Munich, presenting the company's diverse production and solution portfolio for robotics and automation under the motto "The Power at your Side".
Nabtesco's product portfolio of precision gears covers a torque spectrum from 7 to 70,000 Nm. Visitors to automatica 2025 in Munich will be able to get to know the broad spectrum of products and solutions, to discover the latest innovations, to learn about the benefits of the different technologies, and to talk to experts on an individual basis.
The Nabtesco Precision Europe booth will show the whole world of precision gears - from small, zero backlash strain wave gears to robust, high-torque cycloidal gears, efficient rotary indexers and digital gears, as well as compact drive systems for the mobile robotics and complete mechatronic system solutions.
The highlights of the trade show will include an exoskeleton based on strain wave gears, as well as two innovative robotic applications. The exhibits set new standards and are representative of Nabtesco Precision Europe's high level of solution competence.
Cycloidal and strain wave gears from a single source
Cycloidal gears and strain wave gears join forces to create the dream team of precision. The two technologies complement each other ideally to fulfil the highest requirements for precision, torque capacity, and torque density. This results in impressive performance, especially when used in combination.
While the rigidity of cycloidal gears makes them especially suitable for higher torques, zero backlash strain wave gears are used primarily in low-torque applications. If the larger axes of a robot or machine are equipped with cycloidal gears and the smaller axes in the vicinity of the end effector with strain wave gears, this combination achieves the best possible precision from all interlinked axes.
