Portescap wins 2016 Golden Mousetrap Award
Portescap’s Ultra EC brushless DC mini motors have been recognised with a Golden Mousetrap Award in the Automation and Control: Motors and Mechanical Motion category. The annual awards recognise and celebrate the companies, products and people energising North American design, engineering and manufacturing. Winners were announced at the Golden Mousetraps Awards ceremony on February 9, 2016 at the Anaheim Marriott.
Portescap’s Ultra EC platform is comprised of three product lines that address specific application performance requirements for high speed, high torque or a delicate balance of both. All Ultra EC motors utilize Portescap’s patented U coil design. This innovative coil technology allows two-pole motors to deliver 30% more torque (compared to the same size motor with a conventional coil design) and substantially reduces lower iron losses, allowing for greater efficiency and cooler operation.
