Chain, conveyor components and plastics extrusion specialist Pennine has significantly expanded its production capacity with a move into the business premises. The facility has been fully customised to offer vastly improved operational flow and increased production output.
Pennine had occupied its previous site for almost 40 years, adding new buildings and capacity as the business evolved. The new facility provides more than 50% more production and office space, with room to expand as the company continues to grow.
The new premises were selected as they are less than 3km from the previous site, allowing maximum retention of experienced production and sales staff and continuing to provide jobs in the local community.
Pennine’s sales director Graham Womersley said: “This is a milestone in the history of Pennine, and the third time in our 55 year history that we have upgraded our premises. Having a new purpose-built facility will allow us to improve production processes and provide shorter lead times for our customers. We are all very grateful to West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Business Growth Programme who supported the move.”
