The UK motor manufacturer Parvalux has transferred EMD Drive Systems, which it acquired last year, from its site in Halstead, Essex, to Parvalux's main base in Bournemouth. All of EMD's systems, processes and production lines are now running at the Bournemouth site, which had sufficient space to accommodate the transferred business.
To coincide with the move, Parvalux has announced several appointments to enable the business to begin sharing best practice and to identify cost-saving and process synergies: Simon Rainger has been appointed operations director, with responsibility for the quality, manufacture and delivery of both the Parvalux and EMD product lines;_ Paul Adams is now technical director, leading a new team of designers working on modified and bespoke products; _Keith Gillibrand is the supply chain director, responsible for negotiations for raw materials, factored parts and services; and _Nick Spetch is now sales director, with responsibility for both the EMD and Parvalux lines, as well as for customer service, marketing and e-commerce activities.
