Open and closed, incremental and absolute encoders from Renishaw
Renishaw sales manager Dan Scully talks about the company's ranges of open and closed encoders, incremental and absolute, rotary and linear. In particular, he highlights FORTiS enclosed encoders that have been designed to meet the needs of position monitoring in the harsh environmental conditions of machine tools.

The FORTiS encoder design is built upon Renishaw's industry-proven RESOLUTE encoder technology and provides high resistance to the ingress of liquids and solid debris contaminants.
Renishaw has more than 50 years of experience in both manufacturing and supplying the machine tool market with products such as probes and software.
