Omron receives Top 100 Global Innovators 2022 award

Omron has been selected as one of the Top 100 Global Innovators 2022 by global information service firm Clarivatefor the sixth consecutive year.

Clarivate selects the Top 100 Global Innovators based on their proprietary intellectual property and patent data to identify the world's most innovative corporations and research institutions. The evaluation of this award is based on a twin-track approach.

The first track identifies innovating organisations that pass qualification criteria based on the volume of inventive activity. The second track evaluates all inventions and grades them on four factors: Influence, Success, Globalisation and Technical distinctiveness. Among these criteria, Omron was rated high, particularly for technical distinctiveness.

Examples of Omron’s initiatives in this area include the Innovation Exploring Initiative Headquarters and Omron SINIC X Corporation. The Innovation Exploring Initiative Headquarters is a company-wide innovation platform, driven by social needs for organizational knowledge and strengthening the capacity to create new value.

Omron SINIC X Corporation accelerates the creation of ‘near-future design’ through cutting-edge research, including presentations at leading international conferences. In addition, Omron links intellectual property strategies to business and R&D strategies, while promoting intellectual property activities globally.
