Nabtesco Precision Europe is taking over service for the ALLUX 2 knee joint from Nabtesco Mobility Assist division in Europe. Users and distribution partners will benefit from customer-focused support, fast turnaround times, and reliable assistance.
The Dusseldorf office will coordinate all inquiries regarding maintenance, repair, and technical support for the ALLUX 2 knee joint for the European market. With this move, Nabtesco Precision Europe is expanding its range of services and ensuring continuous support for the knee joint in Europe.
"The ALLUX 2 knee joint is an innovative solution from Nabtesco Corporation, which we will support in Europe going forward with our expertise in service. Our goal is to raise the service level even further and reduce response times to a minimum," said Daniel Obladen, Director of Sales and Marketing at Nabtesco Precision Europe.
The ALLUX 2 is a smart, microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knee joint (MPK) for people with above-knee amputations, knee disarticulation, or hip disarticulation. It is designed after the natural knee joint and combines a 4-axis, polycentric mechanism with a microprocessor-controlled hydraulic system. This system regulates the stance and swing phases, thereby supporting a safe, dynamic gait pattern during various everyday activities. Various modes can be selected via a smartphone app. This allows the artificial knee joint to be adapted to specific everyday situations and activities, such as cycling, normal walking, complete locking, or a targeted limitation of the flexion angle.
The service offering includes periodical maintenance under warranty, repairs, and technical function tests. In addition, the Nabtesco service team is available to answer any other questions regarding maintenance and service. During maintenance work, a loaner joint can be provided, if available, to ensure that users maintain their mobility. Service times have been reduced by more than half since the move to the Dsseldorf location. This results in significantly higher customer satisfaction compared to the service offered by competitors.
By taking over service operations, Nabtesco is strengthening support for the ALLUX 2 knee joint in Europe and laying the groundwork for a robust, future-proof supply.
