MVTec takes a giant step forward in expanding its international footprint

MVTec Software continues to drive the expansion of its global presence. After opening a new sales office in the Benelux region in March of this year, the company has now added two more locations.

On June 1, MVTec established a sales office on the Iberian Peninsula and a subsidiary in South Korea. The goal of this expansion is to strengthen local customer relationships and to serve dynamic markets more effectively through direct engagement by MVTec employees.

MVTec's product portfolio consists of MVTec HALCON, a comprehensive standard machine vision software package, and MVTec MERLIC, a low-code software that enables even beginners to create complete, high-performance machine vision applications. These are joined by the Deep Learning Tool, which enables easy image labeling in order to optimally prepare them for the application of deep learning methods in HALCON and MERLIC.

Local support brings MVTec closer to its customers

"After we've successfully launched our sales office in the Benelux region, we're happy that we have opened our next locations on the Iberian Peninsula and in South Korea," says Martin Krumey, Vice President of Sales at MVTec Software.

"In addition to our Munich headquarters, we now have eight international locations, including the new facilities. The success of our past expansions has convinced us to continue our globalisation strategy for the benefit of our customers. We view this course of rapid international expansion as a sign of strength, especially in these economically challenging times."

Thanks to MVTec's local presence, customers benefit from support and service that come directly from the manufacturer. These services are provided by employees who not only speak the local language but also know the specific challenges of the local markets and have a thorough understanding of the country's specific requirements and special circumstances. This proximity, often in collaboration with local partners, means that MVTec is able to participate in the growth of dynamic markets, understand them better, and address them in a targeted manner.

The new sales office for Spain and Portugal opened in Barcelona on 1 June of this year. The region surrounding the Catalonian capital is one of Spain's hubs for complex technologies, including automation and machine vision. The Iberian Peninsula is an attractive market for MVTec. Not only because Spain and Portugal are home to many highly innovative system integrators. Both countries also rank among the fastest-growing economies in Europe and host key industries such as food and beverage, and automotive.

Also on 1 June, MVTec opened a new subsidiary in Seongnam in the South Korean province of Gyeonggi-do. This marks a significant milestone for MVTec's international expansion strategy as it concerns direct client business. Like the Iberian Peninsula, South Korea is also an extremely important market for MVTec. The country has a high level of industrialisation and automation and is a leader in many future markets, particularly sectors like semiconductor manufacturing, battery production, and consumer electronics.

The new subsidiary enables a more targeted market access and creates significant added value for local customers. At the same time, MVTec will continue to rely on the long-standing collaboration with its trusted local partner, Teknix.
