Magic Rubber offers increased reliability

With the demands from customers for advanced, high performance devices, many of today's products rely on sophisticated electronics to deliver their advanced functionality. These critical components demand secure, reliable sealed circuitry to protect them from harsh treatment and must guarantee dependable use in hostile conditions. In the past, OEMs have developed a variety of systems, designed to reliably protect delicate electronics within control units. But these have failed to meet and beat all the challenges asked to the total satisfaction of industry.

Magic Rubber offers increased reliability

Based on the success of its Magic Gel products, GH Lucas has now introduced Magic Rubber into its fold, which offers OEMs a wide rage of potting and encapsulation materials designed to protect electronic circuitry and electronic assemblies from potentially destructive conditions such as moisture, excessive temperature variations, various corrosive chemicals, vibration, impact, shocks and abrasion which might occur while the device is in everyday operation. Magic Rubber will also help protect sensitive electrical circuitry from EMI and RFI and because the dielectric characteristics, such as permittivity and loss angle, are so good, Magic Rubber negates the build up of static electricity that may occur within the device, which could irreparably damage the delicate electrical circuitry.

The Magic Rubber product is offered as a two part system that when mixed in  equal parts, transforms into a latex-free pouring solution that will cure within ten minutes at ambient temperature, to form solid silicone rubber with a working temperature range of -60°C to +200°C.
