Liverpool showcases the fourth industrial revolution

Now in its third year, Smart Factory Expo is Europe’s biggest showcase for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) – a revolution in manufacturing agility, innovation and thinking. Smart Factory Expo is comprised of six dedicated exhibition zones – Industrial Automation, Internet of Things, Digital Transformation, Smart Factory, Manufacturing Innovation and Industrial Data. Running through the entire exhibition is ‘Innovation Alley’ – a showcase for manufacturing tech start-ups, ensuring that the whole 4IR ecosystem is represented.

Over 200 free-to-attend presentations run concurrently on the exhibition floor in dedicated Solutions Theatres combine to create the world’s biggest Industry 4.0 learning programme – open to manufacturers at all stages of their digital journey.

These are exciting times in UK industry, with outstanding economic performance in 2017, and the country’s manufacturers standing on the cusp of a technology revolution that plays to the UK’s strengths as one of the world’s leading digital economies.
