Interroll presents the new Chain Belt Sorting solution combined with MCP PLAY

At LogiMAT 2026, Interroll presents its new Chain Belt Sorting solution, developed following the acquisition of Sortteq last fall and now fully integrated with MCP PLAY.

Together, they form a fully integrated material flow ecosystem that connects high-performance single-item conveyance with intelligent sortation within one modular platform. With this step, Interroll is expanding its scope in sortation by closing a throughput gap in its portfolio between 3,500 and 8,000 items per hour, while at the same time significantly extending the application range of MCP PLAY.

In recent years, companies have invested heavily in automating their intralogistics. However, many systems still operate as isolated solutions; data remains fragmented, and the full potential of modern automation often goes untapped. Today's dynamic requirements call for solutions that can reduce complexity while optimising performance in real time.

At LogiMAT 2026, Interroll demonstrates how this gap can be closed by combining the MCP PLAY system, winner of the 2025 IFOY Award, with the new Sortteq-based Chain Belt Sorting solution - bringing together two strategic initiatives into one application.

- MCP PLAY with its "Adjust to Gap" function allows items to be transported at shorter intervals along the conveyor line.

- Interroll Chain Belt Sorter, based on Sortteq technology, complements this capability with sorting performance throughput of up to 8,000 items per hour.

- By combining MCP PLAY and Sortteq technology in one application, the new "Chain Belt Sorting solution", Interroll connects high-throughput single-item conveyance with highly efficient sorting.

The main benefits of this combination are the simplification of interfaces, the reduction of planning effort, and the overall lowering of the system complexity, becoming the ideal solution for distribution centres, parcel hubs, and e-commerce operations, eliminating much of the complexity associated with sortation projects.

Sortteq technology and MCP Play share the same core strengths: they are easy to layout, space-saving to install, smartly networked, and flexibly expandable at any time. Together, they represent a new generation of conveyor and sortation technology: networked, scalable, and future proof.

"Customers want performance without complexity, and system integrators as well need solutions that simplify design, integration, and operation," said Markus Asch, CEO Interroll. "By expanding our sortation competence with Sortteq technologies-based products and extending MCP PLAY with additional system capabilities, we are combining two strategic initiatives into one integrated modular ecosystem that supports our markets globally."
