Advantech has announced the UNO-2484V3, a next-generation fanless edge automation computer designed for demanding industrial applications. Powered by Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors, dual-channel DDR5 memory, and extensive industrial I/O, the UNO-2484V3 delivers enhanced processing and graphics performance in a compact, modular platform built for reliable edge deployment.
Designed for increasingly demanding industrial edge applications, it combines high-performance computing, rich industrial connectivity and flexible expansion in a compact, fanless platform. With multiple LAN, serial, USB, display and GPIO interfaces, the system can connect machines, sensors and plant-level systems while supporting real-time data acquisition, local analytics, machine vision, and equipment monitoring. Onboard TPM 2.0 further strengthens platform-level security for industrial deployments.
The UNO-2484V3 provides one GbE LAN port (Intel i219), three 2.5GbE LAN ports (Intel i226), four RS-232/422/485 serial ports, four USB Type-A ports, and two USB Type-C ports. It supports up to four independent displays through HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort, and dual USB Type-C outputs. Additional interfaces include ALC888S audio and 8-bit GPIO, expandable to 16-bit with the optional second stack.
For scalable system expansion, the UNO-2484V3 offers four M.2 slots: one B-key, one E-key, and two M-key slots, plus a nano SIM card slot. The optional second stack supports two swappable 2.5-inch SSDs and Advantech iDoor modules for wireless connectivity, fieldbus communication, or additional storage, allowing users to configure the platform for diverse automation and edge computing requirements.
Upgrading from 11th Gen Intel Core processors and DDR4 memory in the UNO-2484G V2, the UNO-2484V3 features the Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) architecture and DDR5-6400 memory. With up to 14 CPU cores and 12 MB of L3 cache, the platform is well suited for machine vision, predictive maintenance, multi-protocol data aggregation, and other data-intensive edge applications. This enhanced performance helps manufacturers process more data locally, reduce response times, and strengthen edge-to-cloud operations.
As part of the refreshed UNO-2000 V3 series, the UNO-2484V3 features an updated industrial design and an enhanced heatsink for improved thermal performance. A removable DIMM cover simplifies memory upgrades, while an externally accessible SIM card slot, removable antenna mount, and interchangeable top cover for custom branding streamline deployment and field maintenance. Its fanless, solid-state design supports a 1036 VDC wide-range input and operation from -20degC to 60degC, all within a compact 200 140 55 mm footprint. PWR, RUN, and BAT LEDs provide clear, at-a-glance system status.
A versatile platform for industrial edge applications
By combining next-generation computing performance, extensive industrial connectivity, and a rugged, user-friendly design, the UNO-2484V3 helps manufacturers modernise machine automation, streamline data acquisition, and enable faster decision-making at the edge.
For instance, in machine automation applications, the UNO-2484V3 can serve as a central computing platform for machine control, data collection, HMI, communication, and equipment monitoring. Its multiple serial and LAN interfaces connect PLCs, sensors, and legacy devices for real-time data acquisition, local analytics, and synchronisation with plant-level systems. This gives operators real-time visibility into equipment and production status, enabling faster responses and more effective control.
