Henkel set to showcase LOCTITE range of adhesives
At this year's Northern Manufacturing event, Henkel will present its LOCTITE adhesives. The company's range of adhesives incorporates five core technologies: epoxies, acrylics, polyurethanes, silane-modified polymers and silicones. Henkel also provides dispensing equipment from handheld devices to fully automated systems, to make product application precise, economical and clean.
One product on show will be Henkel's new flexible instant adhesive, LOCTITE 4902, which offers elongation of up to 155 per cent and provides a high-strength bond in seconds. It can be used on plastics, rubber, metals and other substrates and is ISO 10993 biocompatible, making it suitable for bonding disposable medical devices.
Another recent development is LOCTITE 4090; an epoxy cyanoacrylate hybrid, this product combines the handling speed of a cyanoacrylate adhesive with the toughness and durability of an epoxy adhesive.
Henkel's TECHNOMELT range of low-pressure moulding, hot-melt adhesives has also been expanded. New advanced formulations are UV stabilised, ultra clear and chemical resistant. They address demanding encapsulation requirements, including all types of sensors, automotive products, new lighting designs and medical devices.
Visitors to the show will also see the latest dispensing equipment development. Henkel's patented Jet Valve system enables bubble-free dispensing at up to 300 drops per second; droplets can be as small as 0.3mm depending on the adhesive used. This new diaphragm technology is easy to integrate thanks to its compact design and requires little maintenance.
