Gel twist will revolutionise thread locking
Permatex Europe says it has dramatically improved threadlocker application control with its patented new Gel Twist Threadlockers. Permatex Gel Twist uses a special formulation and a pinpoint applicator to eliminate messy liquids, while reducing wastage and clean up.
With Gel Twist, you can put the threadlocker exactly where you want, especially in vertical applications and hard to reach places. Gel Twist will flow into threads more easily than solid stick formulations, but will not spill like liquid threadlockers.
That's not all; according to Permatex, the Gel Twist Threadlocker is more effective than conventional lock washers, nylon inserts and other mechanical devices because it secures the entire fastener assembly against loosening from shock and vibration. This means the fastener clamping forces are maintained. What's more, the threads are protected from corrosion too.
Gel Twist Threadlockers are simple to use: just remove cap, turn dial to expose from 3-6mm of material, apply to fastener, and close cap. Gel Twist makes threadlocking quick and easy, providing total control on exactly how much and where the threadlocker is applied.
The new Permatex Gel Twist Threadlockers come in two popular grades: medium strength, Threadlocker Blue Gel for use where hand tool disassembly is required; and a higher strength Red Gel that will require special tools or heat to enable disassembly.
