Festo focuses on increased productivity at Industry 4.0 Expo
At this year’s Industry 4.0 Expo, 10-11 April, Festo will be showcasing exciting new developments for increased productivity with smarter automation and digitalisation. The team will be showing the latest Cyber-Physical training factory - demonstrating the principles and technologies to help companies and organisations with their Industry 4.0 skills development.
Specialists are on-hand to show how Festo provides connectivity between machines and the cloud. Looking from the basics of the expanding range of I/O-link sensors and actuators – saving time in wiring and commissioning to Industry 4.0 compatible smart components. The display shows how data can be captured and transmitted to the Festo cloud or other leading hosts for Condition Monitoring and increased OEE. Pre-configured dashboards allow real-time visualisation of data, key performance trends monitored, thresholds and triggers set and messaging set-up to export information and insights. The CPX- IoT gateway collects data using the I4.0 standard communication protocol OPC-UA and passes this reliably and securely on-premise or to the cloud.
