Ethernet switch allows creation of manageable next-generation networks

Harting has extended the capability of its Ha-VIS mCon 3000 range of managed industrial Ethernet switches to allow the creation of convergent and manageable next-generation networks.

>In addition to their comprehensive management software, the devices now feature extended temperature range and a high degree of mechanical stability, resulting in excellent reliability under the toughest industrial conditions.

>As well as rapid spanning tree profile (RSTP), the new switches also offer medium redundancy protocol (MRP). By integrating the PROFINET I/O stack, these next-generation Ha-VIS mCon 3000 switches can be used as PROFINET I/O devices.

>The Harting Ha-VIS mCon 3000 is a family of fully managed Ethernet switches, enabling the connection of up to ten network devices (according to type) over twisted-pair cable and fibre-optic cable (multi- and single-mode). Incorporating integrated LEDs on each port, the range supports fast and easy network diagnosis.
