EMS to showcase motors, actuators and custom drive systems at Machine Building Live

UK-based drive electronics supplier, Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS) will exhibit its range of motion control products and custom drive system manufacturing capabilities at Machine Building Live, taking place at NAEC Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on 14 October 2026.

Visitors to stand 208 can speak with EMS's experts about specifying and integrating motion control systems, whether they need an off-the-shelf motor and drive combination or a custom solution designed around specific performance, space and application requirements.

The event brings together machine builders, systems integrators and manufacturing professionals looking for practical ways to solve engineering challenges and compare technologies. With electric motors and actuators, industrial drives and power transmission among the technologies at the heart of the event, Machine Building Live directly reflects EMS's core product portfolio and expertise.

On display will be DC, brushless DC and stepper motors from FAULHABER, Nidec, KAG and, new for this year's show, Buhler Motor. These will be shown alongside a range of gearheads, feedback options and complementary drive electronics, giving visitors the opportunity to explore different combinations for machine-building applications.

Among the highlights will be FAULHABER's new 06L, 08L and 10L high-performance linear systems. Featuring integrated lead and ball screws, the systems are designed for applications requiring compact, precise linear motion.

EMS also provides UK-designed and manufactured custom drive systems for applications where standard products do not meet the required specification. A bespoke approach allows the drive system to be developed around the equipment, rather than forcing the wider machine design to accommodate an unsuitable component.

The company works with customers to establish requirements such as force, torque, speed, voltage, current, available space and expected operating life. These discussions help determine whether a standard product, a modified catalogue component or a fully bespoke solution is the best option.

"Machine builders often need to balance several requirements when selecting a drive system, from available space and performance to the way the component will integrate with the wider machine," said Dave Walsha, sales and marketing director at EMS.

"Our experienced sales team can help visitors explore their options, whether that means selecting an off-the-shelf product, discussing modifications or considering a bespoke solution. Machine Building Live gives visitors the opportunity to discuss those requirements directly and explore the most suitable route for their application."

Visitors to Machine Building Live can find EMS on stand 208 to explore its latest drive system products and discuss potential applications with the specialist sales team. To learn more about its motors, actuators and custom drive system capabilities, visit the website.
