Delta Electronics Relocates Scottish Engineering Hub to New Facility

Approximately 40 employees across engineering, sales and support functions will relocate from East Kilbride to the new facility later this year, with capacity to support future expansion.

Strengthening Delta's engineering presence in Scotland

Delta has maintained an engineering presence in Scotland for almost three decades, with the site evolving into an important engineering hub within Delta's Industrial Mobility Business. The move strengthens Delta's presence in the Glasgow area, a region with a longstanding industrial and engineering heritage and a strong ecosystem of engineering talent, universities and technology expertise. Today, the team focuses on developing next-generation power conversion technologies for Industrial Electric Vehicles (IEVs) used in material handling, warehouse automation and logistics applications.

The multidisciplinary engineering team brings together expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering, firmware development, PCB layout, automated test engineering, product and project management, enabling the development of high-efficiency battery charging systems, charging modules and DC-DC converters for industrial electric vehicles. Current development focuses on increasing power density, simplifying manufacturing and improving cost efficiency while supporting customers' next-generation electric vehicle platforms.
