Coiled spring pins now offered in stainless steel

Spirol has introduced a line of 316 stainless steel coiled spring pins in metric sizes with nominal diameters ranging from 2-6mm and lengths from 8-50mm, designed for applications used in corrosive environments.

>Coiled spring pins are self-retaining pins that compress when installed into the host component. They offer uniform strength and flexibility after insertion.  Their shock absorbing design dampens forces and vibration to prevent hole damage and prolong assembly life.

>While all 300 series stainless steels are considered to be highly corrosion resistant, 316 exhibits superior resistance to pitting in more severe environments such as when submerged in seawater and or used in the petrochemical industry. This is due to the higher nickel content and the addition of molybdenum which increases the chemical resistance of this alloy.
