Circular connectors ruggedised for use in extreme industrial applications

LMG Heavy Duty circular connectors are built around a rugged brass or stainless-steel shell, are environmentally sealed from IP67 to IP69K and can come as standard with 6 contact arrangements with from 2 to 19 contacts. Two connector types are available, threaded coupling in brass only, and staple coupling in brass or stainless-steel construction. The rugged sealed design is very robust and is able to withstand high levels of shock and vibration in demanding operational environments.

Accessories available include a backshell outlet accessory set for screened and unscreened multicore cable or cables with an inner collective screen, protective caps, staples and assembly spanners.

The conventional screw coupling versions offer a coarse ribbed coupling nut that can be easily gripped with protective gloves, while the staple coupling versions work in a similar way to typical hydraulic connectors where a large metal staple is used to quickly lock and secure the connectors together when mated. The staple provides a very quick coupling (often secured with a hammer) and it can easily be seen whether locked or not, even under adverse conditions.
