Potting a pressure-resistant device for deep sea fishing

Globally, one in every ten fish caught is ‘bycatch’, caught unintentionally while trying to catch another type of fish. Each year, nine million tonnes of bycatch is caught, wasting time, effort and revenue for fishermen, while causing unnecessary damage to marine biodiversity. SafetyNet Technologies (SNTech) is a London-based start-up working to improve the sustainability of fishing practices by designing and building devices that increase the selectivity of commercial fishing.

Improving sealing quality while maximising productivity

The advantages of Spirol standard slotted pins versus ISO 8752

Spirol manufactures two types of slotted spring pins: Spirol standard slotted pins and ISO 8752 slotted pins. Spirol standard slotted pins offer significant advantages as compared to ISO 8752 slotted pins, which were originally designed to function as dowel bushings. Trifast invests to increase its European manufacturing capacity

International fastener specialist TR VIC spa, part of the Trifast plc group of companies, has further invested at its manufacturing site in central Italy, increasing its capacity to meet the growing European white goods market. The company says it has experienced unprecedented demand, which has been fuelled by an increase in consumer driven home improvements during Covid that shows no signs of abating.
