Innovative clamp

Lindapter is launching a new generation of 'hook over' clamp for connecting rolled steel sections, which expands the applications potential to friction loads. The Type CF clamp can securely connect channel, angle and I-beam secondary steelwork, without drilling or welding, dramatically reducing construction time and costs.

High torque clips for heavy duty tasks

Manufactured in stainless steel for heavy-duty delivery and similar hoses, the rugged Jubilee High Torque hose clip has twice the tightening torque of standard worm drive hose clips. Many hose clips and clamps are manufactured in a combination of mild steel and stainless steel. The all stainless steel and 'in line' construction of Jubilee High Torque however helps to make it particularly suitable for those applications where a higher degree of tightening torque and corrosion resistance is required.

Just in time for the start of the 2006 British Touring Car Championships (BTCC), Autodesk is once again proud to sponsor Triple Eight Race Engineering, regarded as one of the most successful engineering companies in the UK motorsport industry. Araldite adhesives go for Gold at Royal Palace

Medal winning athletes who competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy were assured of a grand entrance to the games' official awards ceremony thanks to Araldite adhesives from Huntsman Advanced Materials - one of the original bonding solutions for joining substrates including metal, plastic, composites and glass.

Adhesive based releasable wire clip

Micro Plastics has developed an adhesive based releasable wire clip. This new clip has a unique positive latch design for multiple open/close cycles used for adding or removing wires. The part is moulded in natural nylon 6/6 with double coated adhesive foam tape for easy installation without mounting screws or holes for push mounts.

Micro joining - the only smart way forward

MacGregor Welding Systems produce a range of different micro welding products to suit different applications, which are based on closed loop high frequency DC or linear DC technology. The m3 and DC601/1001 range has the inclusion of a graphical user interface, which allows the operator to monitor the weld profile and store acceptable profiles. This profile can then be windowed so that if a weld falls outside of a certain percentage of the profile a fault condition can be shown.

Italian ski champ secures victory

A gold medal for Italian slalom champion Giorgio Rocca followed a quick fix with Araldite Adhesives â€“ the world conquering skier turned to Araldite after his favourite ski boots cracked under the intense pressure at the Men"s World Cup event at Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. The boots were specially designed to mould securely around his feet at half a size shorter than his normal shoes, making ski manoeuvres easier. A run in a brand new pair proved uncomfortable, with potentially worrying implications for Rocca"s performance, so emergency action was needed to repair his old favourites before the second and final leg of the competition â€“ and a win was clinched!

Extensive range of threaded plugs

BÃ¼lte has introduced an extensive selection of plastic threaded plugs with standard and fine metric pitch. The range includes wing plugs, hexagonal washer faced plugs, hexagonal plugs, knurled plugs, knurled slotted plugs, violin plugs and philips plugs. These new caps are available in M5, M6, M8 (length 8mm), M10 and M12 (length 10mm).

Dispense valve is small and light

The 702V miniature dispense valve provides uniform, drip-free application of UV cure adhesives, coatings and other fluids used in medical device assembly. Some 60% smaller and 70% lighter than typical dispense valves, the 702V is ideal for applications where full-size valves would be too large or too heavy.

Self-tapping plastic inserts

New to the Spirol range is the self-tapping range for use with plastics. They are designed for use in most plastics, including thermosets, providing a high and consistent pull-out strength. Installation of the inserts is simple using a drill press and fitted with a non-pitched tapping head or with a Spirol self-tapping screw driver. The symmetrical design of each insert simplifies orientation during installation, whilst a lead-in pilot ensures straight installation.
