Swivel pad indexing levers enable flexible and mark-free clamping

A new range of indexing levers designed to clamp in restricted spaces without marking the workpiece or equipment is now available. Leeds-based standard parts and components supplier, WDS Components, has released a range of T and L shaped levers with a choice of ball ends or soft pads, giving flexibility and ease of clamping. The indexing levers are a useful clamping mechanism when a complete 360° locking rotation cannot be achieved.

A rising star of theatre land

Leading UK manufacturer of automated equipment for theatre productions, Absolute Motion Control, has specified Stober gearboxes for the delivery and retraction of stage props in west end show ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’. The National Theatre show running at the Duke of York’s theatre In London’s West End needed automated lifts which incorporate servo motors, gearboxes and drives to elevate door frames, a bath and benches from below the floor to the stage.
