New ASiCL function supports drives in the lowest speed range

When it comes to the encoderless control of asynchronous motors, the ASCL (asynchronous closed loop) function is one solution. KEB Automation has now supplemented this with a new ‘AsiCL’ function, which now means that very good shaft performance with high torque can also be achieved in the low speed range. Igus awarded Single Pair Ethernet Network Pioneer Member

Igus has received a collaboration award as a Pioneer member of the SPE Industrial Partner Network. The organisation was founded by specialist plug manufacturer Harting in 2019 along with six other members. Accurate multiaxis linear actuator system saves OEMs time in installation

Linear motion control specialist, Tolomatic, has released a new multiaxis actuator system, providing rigidity and accuracy for OEM machine designs. Available from Inmoco, the two- or three-axis Twin Rail Stage (TRS) is an enclosed design, profiled rail actuator system, saving assembly time for OEMs that require multiaxis linear motion. TRS enables precise control with a choice of roller nut or ball nut. Tolomatic says the actuator includes features that provide long service life.

Shaft collars now available in inch-sizes for American market

UK components and standard parts supplier, WDS Components, has released a range of shaft collars in inch-sizes. Aimed primarily at the American market, the range extends in several sizes from inside diameters of 1/4” up to 1”. The shaft collars are available in stainless steel, as well as cost effective and durable zinc-plated steel.

Trio launches four-axis stepper controller with high performance motion

Trio Motion Technology has launched a controller for stepper or pulse and direction servo drives with high performance motion control across four axes. The MC404-Z is primarily aimed at OEMs that need fast and accurate motion performance as well as a cost-optimal machine build. The all-in-one controller enables I/O extension through CANbus and can also integrate directly with common PLC and HMI protocols via a built-in Ethernet port.
