New 2 MOPP compliant IEC Inlet EMC Filters for medical applications from Schaffner

Schaffner introduces the new FN9274 IEC filter series designed for medical applications. The new FN9274 filters have been designed according to Class II medical equipment standard IEC / EN 60601-1. The filters offer product designers Two MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) safety protection ‘out of the box’, eliminating the requirement for any further EMC or isolation components. The FN9274 filters have a plastic enclosure for higher dielectric strength insulation.

RS Components has released a 10-episode documentary series – titled SeaQuest – featuring members of its DesignSpark engineering community who embarked on a first-of-its-kind challenge to design, test and build a self-guided, 3D-printed model boat and send it on an ocean adventure. Drivers for high-power cw laser diodes

PicoLAS introduced two new drivers of the LDP-CW 250-40 series to offer efficient control of high-performance continuous wave laser diodes. The electronics are housed in an ultra-compact casing and achieve an output power of 10kW at a power density of 5W/cm³. At an efficiency of 94%, both models generate a maximum output current of 250A and an output voltage of up to 40V.
