Considerations to make when choosing an industrial enclosure

Considerations to make when choosing an industrial enclosure

Choosing an industrial enclosure is seldom just about the enclosure itself. It has to meet the right level of quality and standards, but frequently an off-the-shelf design won’t meet design needs. If customisation is required, let alone a bespoke design, choosing an enclosure is more about your choice of supplier.

Cost-effective monitoring and protection for smaller plant

Cost-effective monitoring and protection for smaller plant

Protecting smaller, yet critical items of rotating plant such as industrial fans and pumps has become increasingly important as the focus to improve efficiencies, reduce energy consumption and eliminate downtime has moved beyond protecting more expensive assets such as turbines and compressors. However, achieving the right balance of cost versus benefit in using more sophisticated and expensive systems for smaller machinery operating in less critical applications can be challenging, especially given the exceptionally tough circumstances facing many plant operators today.

NVH testing for the vehicle of the future

NVH testing for the vehicle of the future

Tighter environmental regulations are triggering disruptive trends in the automotive industry. Now more than ever, the efficiency of the internal combustion engine (ICE) is being pushed to its limits and the need for developing electric drivelines is coming to the fore. These trends not only affect the way vehicles are engineered and how their noise and vibration performance is perceived, they also have an impact on the measurement tools needed to develop the vehicle of the future. Their reliability and flexibility must come with no compromise, and Kistler is supporting this trend.
