High servo power in a compact design

The latest addition to JVL Industri Elektronik’s integrated servo motor range – the 1.5 kW rated MAC1500 – is now available from its UK distribution partner Mclennan. The MAC1500 sits neatly in the MACmotor range of brushless servo motors complete with integrated AC servo drive, Hall sensor, encoder feedback, optional brake and comprehensive motion controls, with power ratings from 400 to 3000W. At just 182mm nominal length and flange mount dimensions of 130x130mm, this compact integrated servo drive matches the size of traditional servo motors without drives for its 5/15Nm rating.

Three different robot types from Applied Automation

Another company to feature in the robotic live zone is X-STK|Applied Automation, with three different types of robots. Working alongside the team on stand D980 will be the collaborative robots from Universal Robots. Lightweight and easy to program, the six-axis robot arms are affordable solutions that operate safely without guarding. An Omron delta robot will feature as part of a complete automation and control solution, picking product at high speed from a conveyor. The delta robot can achieve up to 200 cycles per minute and can be synchronised with multiple conveyors to perform on-the-fly pick and place operations.

MACK drive system reduces system costs

The Motor Technology stand at Drives & Controls will feature the new MACK drive system from Axor Industries. The innovative new MACK drive system reduces cost by sharing the incoming supply across multiple axes, removing the need for filtering, power conversion and regeneration circuitry on individual drives, and reduced processor costs due to centralised control.
