Positek launches new in-cylinder mounted position sensor with integrated electronics

Fulfilling the increased demand for accurate and robust position feedback in hydraulic and pneumatic instrumentation systems, Positek has launched a new line of competitively priced linear position sensors for in-cylinder mounting with fully integrated electronics. Positek´s new P116 series combine its patented LIPS (Linear Inductive Position Sensor) non-contact inductive technology and novel micro-electronic ASIC circuitry to provide a wide choice of electrical interface options in a compact and easily installed single sensor device that offers outstanding durability and reliability - plus high accuracy and stability over an exceptionally long working life. With calibrated travel and sensor length exactly matched for any cylinder measurement from 5 mm to 600 mm, the P116 can also be supplied as a drop-in replacement for other manufacturer´s in-cylinder position sensors.

Comau MATE is the first exoskeleton on the market to receive the EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment Work-Sheet) certification, which attests its effectiveness in reducing the “risk of biomechanical overload” of the upper limbs. Based on the evaluation system promoted by Ergo Foundation, Italy’s reference for the organization and measurement of work and ergonomics, the successful recognition studied workers who used MATE to perform daily tasks requiring flexion-extension of the arms.

Vaisala heads to Mars onboard NASA

Vaisala heads to Mars onboard NASA"s Perseverance rover

International collaboration takes Vaisala and the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) to Mars onboard NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover. The rover is scheduled to launch on July 30, 2020. Vaisala’s sensor technology combined with FMI’s measurement instrumentation will be used to obtain accurate and reliable pressure and humidity data from the surface of the red planet.
