Limit switches deliver show stopping performance for theatre installations

A well-produced theatre experience is capable of entrancing the audience to the point that they are fully emersed. Ironically, this means that most theatre goers fail to appreciate the engineering required to move the lights, scenery and props that contribute to a memorable performance. One general contractor ensures that its stage equipment is positioned precisely where it’s required thanks to Stromag Series 51 limit switches.

Robust magnetic encoders offer increased application flexibility

Wachendorff Automation has launched a new variant of its industrial grade rotary encoders that feature a freely definable pulse count. The new WDGP series, available in the UK from Variohm EuroSensor, offers any number of output pulses from 1 to 16,384 PPR as TTL or HTL quadrature A and B channels, plus a freely configurable zero pulse (N). Utilising IP67 protection class stainless-steel housings in a choice of 36 mm and 58 mm diameters with industry-standard mounting options, these high accuracy incremental encoders are based on a patented magnetic sensor technology that offers durability and extremely high resistance to shock, vibration and undesirable shaft loading.
