Stromag trials next generation IIoT "smart" gantry crane

To achieve this, Duisport turned to Stromag to trial a new intelligent crane monitoring system utilising Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology at the world’s largest inland port. If successful, the pilot programme could herald the arrival of the ‘smart’ crane.

The thermal imaging camera was selected due to its high accuracy and ease of integration, set up and configuration.
