Zytronic gives Taiwanese integrated display manufacturer the magic touch

Advanced display manufacturer Innolux had been searching for different haptic solutions for its touch displays to enrich the user experience. Until the company engaged with Zytronic’s Taiwanese representative Chris Su, the Innolux engineering team had yet to achieve a suitable tactile solution for their rugged touch displays designed for self-service kiosks and other public displays. Following the engagement, Innolux created an innovative multi-haptic control panel, and Zytronic provided the missing tactile dimension to the touchscreen.

Igus receives UL approval for halogen-free TPE cables

Igus is the first cable manufacturer in the world to receive UL AWM certification from US validation agency Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for its high-end TPE cables, which do not require fire-retardant halogens as additives. This is the first time that the testing organisation has recognised that halogen-free TPE cables can also meet the fire protection requirements in industry.

KEB Automation has supplied drive controllers, mains filters and chokes to Vecoplan, a specialist manufacturer of shredding machines used by the recycling industry. The COMBIVERT F6 drive controllers from KEB were selected due to their ability to deliver high performance dynamics under harsh machine operating conditions.

Nord receives patent for DuoDrive geared motor technology

Nord Drivesystems reports that it has successfully patented its DuoDrive geared motor technology, where an especially energy-efficient IE5+ permanent magnet synchronous motor and a single-stage helical gear unit are installed in one single housing. The long-term durability and reliability of the solution in terms of design and materials has been successfully proven in months of testing during the development of the DuoDrive, and Nord says real pioneering work has been accomplished in the field of geared motors.
