ABB optimises production for major steelmaker

ABB has been awarded a major contract by Primetals Technologies to help optimise production at Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe’s (tkSE) Duisburg-Bruckhausen plant in Germany, using the ABB Flow Control Mould electromagnetic stirring and braking technology for higher quality steel produced faster and at lower cost.

ABB Robotics showcases future of retail using recovered marine plastic

The future of retail is being highlighted by an exciting 3D printing demonstration featuring an ABB robot in Selfridges, one of London’s premier department stores on Oxford Street. Throughout April the demonstration will feature in a window display, with shoppers able to see an ABB robot 3D printing a variety of personalised designer objects made from Parley Ocean Plastic – intercepted marine plastic debris collected from Parley’s Global Cleanup network.

Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots breaking new ground

Construction is about to begin on state-of-the-art joint headquarters for Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) in Odense, Denmark. The building will accommodate up to 600 employees and will be the world’s largest cobot and autonomous mobile robot (AMR) Hub. Completion is expected at the start of 2024.
