ABB has completed a study to benchmark current hoisting maintenance strategies, observing that, on average, mining companies have the potential to achieve more than a month of additional production time annually by following recommended predictive maintenance strategies.

Following the success of this year's Automation UK, the show organiser, Automate UK, is delighted to announce that next year's event will be significantly bigger than before. The previously co-located Machine Vision Conference (MVC), now known as Vision UK, will be fully integrated into Automation UK upon its return to the CBS Arena in Coventry between 7-8 May 2025.

ABB has integrated its AquaMaster4 Mobile Comms flowmeter with the Topkapi SCADA system, enhancing water conservation efforts around the world. AREAL, publisher of the Topkapi software platform, recently released a communication driver which allowed AquaMaster4 Mobile Comms to communicate directly with Topkapi through 4G and the FTP/FTPS protocol.
