Kabelschlepp cable carriers have been chosen to carry power and control cables to a new truss system that supports lights, cameras and sound equipment in the Solent Hall – the new auditorium in the Bournemouth International Centre. The system designed and installed by Luton-based Hall Stage Ltd features two large trusses measuring approximately 10m2 and four smaller ones, all equipped with Kabelschlepp's K-Series carriers supplied complete with cables and terminations. The trusses are lowered from the ceiling for deployment and the cable carriers ensure that power is delivered smoothly and continuously to the equipment at every stage. Kabelschlepp’s K-Series cable carriers have plastic chain bands with patented snap connections and aluminium stay profiles. The design is inexpensive, extremely robust and resistant to dirt or contamination. It is available in a wide choice of widths and offers the additional advantage of allowing easy access from either side by rotating the stay profiles, while integral sliders guarantee near wear-free operation even for long travel lengths.
