Adhesive preforms are halogen-free
Multi-Seals has introduced a flexible preform adhesive that meets the International Electrochemical Commission's halogen-free requirements (IEC 61249-2-21). The F08 Poly-form supports electronics manufacturing efforts to reduce chlorine and bromine levels in component assemblies to address environmental concerns about potentially hazardous halogens.
Multi-Seals' F08 Poly-forms are flexible pre-shaped adhesives designed for bonding diverse materials, including metals, plastics, and glass. The pre-shaped copolymer prevents drips and dispensing inconsistencies typical of liquid adhesives. Adhesive placement is highly consistent from bond to bond. The durability and flexibility of F08 Poly-forms facilitates manual and automated handling and increases production rates. F08 can be pre-shaped in multiform configurations to accommodate a broad range of applications.
