Abssac says its investment in its latest machine, the ROMI GL250M, transforms its machining scope and capability. The turning centre offers a unique integral C axis milling capability for off centre drilling as well as a milling process for items such a key ways and polygon turning.
According to the company, working closely with its customers to supply a finished ready to fit linear product, not only reduces their scrap rates, but also ensures that the lead screw and nut fit tolerances are maintained every time.
The new machine is part of Abssac’s long-term vision and its progressive UK manufacturing goals. It is able optimise the function of a customer’s leadscrew product by having their engineering department collaborate its own during the design phase of the customer’s linear motion application. Abssac says it also welcomes reverse engineering or replication work.
