The INKOMA PK offset coupling from Francis and Francis provides an innovative solution for the transmission of torque between axially parallel but displaced shafts.
>The radial offset can be adjusted dynamically or statically within its operating limits. Movement at the input is faithfully replicated at the output: there is no relative motion due to displacements as there is with universal joints.
>The couplings feature large fixed or variable, radially-free, sideways offset (in any radial direction) - between 5mm (Min.) and 288mm (Max.) - for parallel shafts, all in a compact, space-saving envelope. Freedom from restoration reaction side-loads means longer bearing support life.
>The couplings offer high power transmission efficiency and high torsional stiffness, with backlash-free shaft. They transmit with true, constant angular velocity, and there are no end-thrusts, whatever parallel shaft misalignment. All components remain in perfect kinematic balance
